Neera's Lover is Lost
"These hands have touched Neera's face,
Can I commit a sin with these hands?"
How many hundreds of times
Have lovers across this land spoken these words?
Yet how do they commit so many sins?
Could it be that their words are false?
"These lips have whispered to Neera, 'I love you' —
Can falsehood ever stain these lips?"
Millions upon millions of times,
The words "I love you" are spoken.
Yet why then, so many lies,
So much betrayal, deceit?
"I raise my right hand, toward the strength of a man’s fist,
And silently I say:
Be worthy, rise to your worth..."
But no one seeks worthiness now;
They rely on force.
Through brute masculine power,
Countless unworthy hands
Dishonour Neera.
Sunil's Neera may still exist,
But Neera's lover is lost.
Yet another excellent addition alongside your physics writings! Splendid, dada.
